There will be a limited number of teams this year, so please register early. The SS Board felt it necessary to insure we can alot proper field time for each team to practice and enjoy baseball.
As many of you are aware the county created additional travel teams this past year across a variety of age groups to promote competitive play within the county. The creation of these travel teams does not preclude the 10 year old age group from having an All Star team this season. If during the coach selection process, a selected coach wishes to create an All Star team the board may elect to allow one All Star team.
If an All Star team is created for the 10 year old age group, parents will be notified prior to tryouts. If you would like your child to be considered for the All Star team, you will need to notify the Age Group Director at the evaluation session. Every child wishing to try out for the All Star team will be called back for a second evaluation session (to be scheduled). The 10 and 11 year old age groups will not have a Sunday Select program this year. Children selected for the potential All Star team after the initial two evaluations will play recreation league ball and immediately begin All Star practices during the regular season. As always, the tournament schedule would be determined by the coaches and the parents.
