SSAA Fundraising Information

NEW THIS YEAR FOR BRAVES NITE. THE PLAYER WITH THE TOP DOLLAR IN SALES WILL MAKE THE FIRST PITCH.

Why do we fundraise? First to keep from raising our fees. Most important to make park improvements. All batting cages belong to the association. Stadium bleachers and bleacher covers have been installed by the association. All equipment belongs to the association. Coaches certification and clinics are paid for by the association. Concession equipment are funded by the association. This year due to lack of county funds we paid for materials to redo infields and outfields. We did donations but still must have a major fundraiser. (Donations this year helped us from pushing the teams to sell banners).

Braves nite is not only a great fundraiser, but it gives the players a chance to be on the Braves field and go to a game with their teammates. It is a great nite for the park.

Braves Nite is April 27. Some additional Tickets will be available. Contact your team coordinator.
There will be a pregame parade on the track at Turner Field for all teams. Wear your uniform (lineup time tba). Top selling 5u and 6u teams will play T-ball on the field prior to the game (This includes softball and baseball-top 4 teams). Top sellers receive awards as follows.

TOP SELLING PLAYER IN DOLLARS WILL MAKE THE FIRST PITCH. Next 9 players will take the field with the Braves.

Individual awards are based on Dollar value of the sales. Team Awards are based on number of tickets sold.

All teams will participate in pregame recognition parade.

Top four T-ball teams to sell the most tickets will play a T-ball exhibition on the field. (PLAYERS AND TWO COACHES).

1st Player in Sales by Dollars takes the first pitch of the game.

2nd through 10th player in Sales  by Dollars take the field with the Braves starting lineup.*

Top 11th, 12th and 13th player in sales in dollars get memorabilia.
*Players normally take the position in order of sales. (Positions 1-9 relate to the order of their sales. Ex. Number 1 (next top dollar sales) takes the pitcher's mound). This is subject to adjustment by the Braves as they set the order players take the field.

More Details will be provided at the team coordinator meeting Feb. 26. Order forms will be provided then.

As a board policy (and as long as the Board Secretary is in charge of Braves nite) we do not publish the total sales or quantity of tickets of the winners only the winner's or team names.  Once this information is verified by the executive board and reconciled by the treasurer, sales orders are returned to the team coordinators.  Among several reasons, we do not want anyone to have a false impression of how much is necessary to be in the top sales. It changes every year. Once winners are announced the decision is final and based on verified data.

Checks should be payable to SSAA.
